Two day workshop on Python
A 2-day workshop on Python was organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering here on campus, on the May 15 and 16, 2017, from 10am onwards, in collaboration with the National Institute for Industrial Training and the Institution of Engineers (IE). Open to Engineering students of all disciplines, the workshop introduced them to the basics of the simulation software Python, and also helped them familiarize with it. They were instructed as to the capability and power of Python as well as the handling of various programming languages through it. The students were further shown a comparative analysis of Python with another modern popular simulation software Matlab, while being tutored on how to use them simultaneously. The workshop enabled the students to acquire a hands-on experience of designing and operating various Power Systems like DSP and Power Electronics using Python.
ANSI has accredited each candidate with a Certificate of Participation.
A great initiative taken by the department, this Workshop helped the students gain a practical first-hand experience of handling and working with the most modern of softwares available, as well as offered them a glimpse of how the real industry operates.
